The result for Superstar was kinda expected by a few. It's high time Singapore has their own Stevie Wonder. Dun you guys agree? C'mon man... i'm not really against the other contestants. And i din really follow up this program till recently when a friend told me about it.
Ok, so how was it expected? Hmm... look at kelly. She's those kind where you can find anywhere along Orchard on a good sunny day. But compared to Weilian, he's like one in a million. Yes!! Literally. The numbers passing by Orchard station underpass is like a million a day. In that 1 million, there lingers one disabled man playing the instruments for a good close to 2 decades. Isn't that a living proof? Now that Weilian's in the finals, it's sure no suprise that many in the media industry want something new. Yes, a flavour that seems unique, away from the so called mainstream stars like Taufiq and Kelly breed.
And it's my first time supporting by SMSing. Gosh... But i won't buy your album Weilian. Seriously, you wouldn't want a guy who can't understand mandarin and just buy your album for the sake of supporting.
I'm now waiting for Rock Idol to come into Singapore. The last 2 local bands which i favour real badly were Concave Scream and Lizards' Convention. They rock during my teen days man. Not to the max but there was a good peak frm them. So as we await the next Idol, please do support talents and uniqueness. I'm sure we don't want Singapore to be branded as another mainstream country. Let's show our alternative sides and prove that we can be as different and are diverse in other areas.
Ok, enough of all these true shit. Time to sleep and study.
